Spring Winders In Action

Here we will see spring winders and wire bending machines in action. We have collected a lot of video over the years and plan to put our Greatest Hits on this page. These won't be any standard videos. We want to show those one of a kind jobs. The jobs that took a lot of ingenuity. The one that they said couldn't be done, and maybe even the ones you wish you hadn't done!

We'll get the ball rolling with our own video of but we do plan on asking you to send in your own Greatest Hits. We'll have more on that later.

COMPRESSION SPRING COILERS

This first set of videos shows smaller compression spring coilers making a variety of springs. As you will see most of them are NOT making standard compression springs, and many are using a torsion attachment. There are also some videos of the more sophisticated multi axis coilers. Then we go on to the larger spring coilers right on up to 20mm. You'll see spring winders making automotive coil springs with variable diameter and pitch, twist cutting, and a whole lot more. You can watch these here: CLICK HERE

RADIAL TYPE SPRING AND WIRE FORMERS

We have these videos arranged starting with the 2 axis or more cam type machines showing a whole variety of unique setups. Some of these videos are quite old when the only machines available were two axis. The setups would most likely be done differently today. We want you to see the ingenuity that was used to accomplish the task with what they had.

Next, we show Camless Radial Formers. I've included some similar setups shown in the cam type radial formers, but notice the difference in how they were done. Also, notice the difference in speeds. AUTOMATION AND SPRING MAKING

What we like are thos types of setups where you see all kinds of movement and action. That's what we want to show here. Spring coilers and wire formers with all kinds of additional equipment. Again, some of these videos are quite old and the setups would most likely be done differently today. It is just the pleasure of seeing the ingenuity that was used to accomplish the task with what they had.
